Steve - You can join any group you want just by going to "Your account" on our main menu, and then clicking on "User Groups" in the upper right hand corner of that screen. Scroll down to find Region 6 and enter it. You can also join the appropriate generation group (1-5) for your car's year.

While you are at it, change your profile to include your town in Florida. This will help other members know how far (or close) you are to them when planning some local events. Your state is so big, that perhaps we should have 3 coordinators there to assist the Regional Director in such planning. Panhandle, Central, and Southern, for example. What do you think of this concept? Would you be willing to help coordinate our members attending a well-organized cruise night that already exists in your area? We are not encouraging club members organize unique shows or events yet, it is too much work for our relatively small numbers. But getting a dozen or so Elky owners to join up at an existing event works out pretty well. Good luck. John Harris

Good point on the coordinators, John, and as you and I have emailed before, I would be willing to be one if needed - or happy to sit back and let others do it as well. At my location in Jacksonville, I am almost equidisdant between the panhandle and Pensacola and south Florida/Miami.

I know several Elky owners in this area that I am trying to get to join the NECOA, and I think a few regional type get-togethers with some banners and t-shirts and stuff, as well as maybe having a laptop on site to let folks see the forums and things might help to increase our membership.

For anyone thats interested, June 26th from 4-6 p.m. at the Volusia mall here in daytona (right across the street from the international speed way) They have a cruise in. Usually a good 100 cars if not more then that, i'll probably be out there with my blue el camino. Last time i saw probably 3 or 4 el caminos and 2 cough*ranchero'scough* out there, so its a cool place.
