We are looking for a good install story of the new Tremec TKO 500 or 600 (manual 5-Speed). Any out there installed one yet?
Our web site does not yet feature an El Camino and we are looking to get a "good looking" one on our web site. Looking for years of 64 to 72.
Here's a link to our web site to show you how we currently feature other models.

Not critisizing, mind you but it's a little pricy. Especially considering that most Elkys were not standards to start with so retrofitting them with a standard ends up, along with the cost of the transmission, more than installing a 4L65e or a 4L80e including the controllers. Most people don't have engines that produce 300 Lb-ft. of torque so the 4L65e or the 4l80e could very probably be the very last transmission the'd buy or need. For a race car 5 speeds is too many most run a 400 or a Powerglide or a 2-speed Lenco or in extreme cases a driect drive.
Most of us roam around Junk Yards to find parts and pieces rather than spend a bunch of cash on new parts that are probably easier to get.
Offer a complete conversion package for $2,000.00 or under and you have a good selling product. That would include all the linkage, bell housing, clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, fork, pilot bearing, speedo gears and pedals.
I know that is not going to happen. :D I'm thick but not that thick.
Looks pretty cherry though.

Are you implying the Blue Beast is not "Good" looking cause it is an 84????
Thanks guys for the feedback
Sexy84: Nothing but love for the good looking Blue Beast (84). Our company main focus is Chevy years 64 to 72.
ElkyPete: Thanks for the feedback and your insight. I like your idea of the complete kit, price of $2000 would be tough to do. I hope to find someone that has a 70/71/72 SS that puts out 400+ lb/ft torque who also wants to get that 5th over-drive gear .68 to cruise the highway with.
We have Chevelle, Nova, Camaro, Firebird, etc.. on our site and we would like to add an El Camino to that list.
Thanks again for the feedback

You need to make onr for the fifth gen. I would do it if I had the money but my car isn't powerful enough to meet you expectations as a model car yet.
