Hello I'm an el camino newb but i have a quick question.

I cannot choose where the air flow in my el camino right now it only comes out at the floor(makes defrosting a challenge lol). I was wondering is the zone selection on my car cable controlled or vacuum controlled and how to fix it? :nanawrench:

And oh my Car is a 1979 GMC Cabrellero that was equipped with Factory A/C but does not the compressor, condenser or lines?

Zone selection is controlled by vacuum. You should have a hose coming off the rear of the intake to a small ball mounted on the AC housing. From there it goes inside tot he controls. Another small vacuum line comes back out to the heater control valve.
