So this Christmas I decided to spoil my baby and buy her a new engine, after alot of looking my family mechanic dropped me a line to one of his buddies that will get me a 2000's and up 5.7 with a 4l60e. I'm gonna have my mechanic drop it into my car and probably just buy an after market drive shaft, thoughts? Queries?

Since you'll be paying someone to do your swap, guess yourmain questions will be engine choice,etc. . Get a 99 or later. Truck engines are also an option ,5.3 being the more affordable.
