does anyone know if you can install a vintage air and get rid of box on firewall and hide hises and other stuff in fenders like you can in a older camaro and still us factory vents?

Have vintage air compac. Made firewall plate with a buldge at top [more level].I have custom vents in mine. Check engine topics thread for can,t leave wellenough alone thread. Neil fabricated something for stock vents

I didn't put the bulge in but I did end up loosing all but about 2 inches of the glove box. I used the Classic Auto Air Hotrod II unit. Width wise it will just fit with the fan motor almost against the kick panel and the vertical center dash brace narrowed about in half as it goes by the unit. The Hotrod I would give you some more room but it will also move less air. Mine doesn't blow you out (smaller fan and lots of duct) but boy is it cold.
