I have noticed that since the hype of the mustangs and their common appearance that they are starting to fall apart, yes I know its part of that whole ford virus. but more and more I pass them either smoking rattling or just sounding like a screaming banshee... And to think my friends laughed when I said they won't last....two of my 3 mustang driving friends have traded in their ponies for chevys....maybe I should become a presit and covert people to the chevy-brotherhood and on that note the other day I found a 5th gen and I whipped out my note book and tagged his vehicle I thought maybe a ticket looking paper would get his attention on it I gave him this URL hopefully he shall join us!!!

It is mostly the opposite round here. For the most part the 5.0's Look and sound very nice (for fords that is!)

I agree with sexy84,
there are levels for Mustangs just like levels of Elks and levels of performance.
Most of the 5.0's (and SVT's) that I know of are kept up and look and sound sharp!
The 4 bangers are just another car and are not maintained like they should be.
We have some excellant examples of Elks in and near here, and then we have some that are just transportation. (one 84ish SS even)
It all comes down to whether the driver takes pride in the ride!

I got spanked by a SVT stang a couple years ago :-( It left my Elky like it was standing still 8O But, that was when I had the stock 2.41 gears. After my next round of upgrades, bring it on!
