I know there have been some posts about insurance, so just bare with me. Does $1,200 a year Full coverage with lost income, $100 deductable, $250 deductable if in a wreck. 25/50,000 damages sound too high? I've seen some people say full coverage for as little as $300 a year, but will they really cover your losses? I am just REALLY paranoid about buying insurance on-line and getting hosed. You understand, right? lol :lookround:

I would never buy insurance on-line! It's too much of a risk. Any honest agent should be able to get you almost as good a deal and it's garunteed.

For my "near" show quality 77 I use my agent. He had me with Auto-Owners, Inc. The coverage is 100,00 each person/300,000 each occurance for bodily damage. Property damage is 50,000 each occurance. Uninsured is the same as bodily. Under-insured is the same as bodily. Medical is 2,000 each person. Comprehensive is 9,000. Collision is 9,000. Road service is 50.00 each occurance. Additional expense is $20.00 day/$600.00 maximum.

All this costs me $343.00 every six months.

Just me 2/c.

It seems high to me but a lot of factors are involved. Age, driving record and the area where you live. I've got $500 deductible on collision/comprehensive,250/500 thousand on all medical including uninsured driver, and emergency road service. Costs me around $600 a year from State Farm. I also suspend my insurance(except for fire and theft) once the snow falls and the salt is dumped.

It seems a bit high to me also. I pay $540.00 per year for 100,000/300,000 bodily injury, 100,00 property, $100 deductible Comp & collision. 100,000/300,000 Uninsured & underinsured. This is through State Farm, I live in Minnesota, 49 yr old and multi=car.

You need to check into progressive. We have four vehicle, including a new silverado SS and a Mustang LX 5.0 and we pay 600 every six months.

I am curious to know who pays the most for their car insurance and why... I pay about $900 every six months for bare minimum liability on my 2 cars through progressive. Of course, I do have one speeding ticket and one driving whilst suspended violation. Thank god those are both 2.5 years old and next year my premiums will go down. Also, I am only 22 so I think I get a lower price after I turn 25. Gotta keep the cops off my tail for another 6 months!
