Sup guys. I happened upon a free project truck from a friend. It had been sitting for 3 years, and he just wanted it off his property. So I took it off his hands not knowing what I had. As it turns out I scored a .327 mated to a 700R4. The heads are aftermarket Worlds S/R Torquer model I-093 with roller rocker arms!!!!!!!! After removing the passenger side valve cover I found what looks like the inner coils of one of the valve springs. Does anyone in the Phoenix area know of a good mechanic to take the heads to so I can have them checked out and replace that spring?

replacing the valve spring (and seals while your there) is not real hard,,and the heads dont have to come off..:texas:
do a search here or the net.. replace valve seals
BIG steak dinner !!! works too.
if you look for a /machinist/mechanic,, go to the track and ask around..
that piece on the right allmost looks like the bottom pivot part of a stock rocker,,
the left one does kinda looks like a damper spring..

Kind of hard to tell just what those pieces are from. Look the whole rocker arm setup over for something broke......use a mirror.

Looks like valve spring retainers to me. Probably got a healthy cam & someone overrevved..Should be easy to see which one,s missin. Hopefully that valve didn,t contact a piston.

the piece on the right is rubber. i think it's some gasket rtv. the piece on the left is a spring dampner

Thanks LOCKJAW. I'm pretty fortunate to have scored this motor/tranny. I just wish it was ALREADY in my Elky.
