You will have to look at the SPIL in the glove box to know what it came factory with. If you can send a legible pic of the label I can decode it and send you a copy.

look at the trans pan - there is a different one for the 200 than the 200r4. i'd bet a dollar it's a 200r4

In the Haynes manual, there is a bolt pattern page that helps you identify transmission by looking at bolt pattern, if someone can take a pic of it and post on here, that's be a big help, or if you take a pic of the bolt pattern on bottom of trans, we can identify it. I would take a pic, but my phone is being dumb these past few weeks...:dontknow:

Edit: actually it would be the oil pan gasket shape. According the Haynes manual. So basically, the oil pan bolt pattern. ...

To be exact, in the Haynes "chevelle" 1969-1987 book, (which covers el caminos) it is on page 7B-4. Sorry I cant put a pic up...

I have a 86 EC w/ a TH200c.It does not have o/d .It has METRIC stamped into the pan.Check this when you have it up on the rack.It also has 13 bolts in the pan.Also check for a tag on the passenger side of the tranny,get the code & I'll look it up for ya.

^^ THM200 and 200C look the same as the THM250/350 but with fewer bolts front and rear.

Correction,the THM 200c has 11 bolts in the tranny pan.I finally found my trusty Elky decoder manual,so if you get the codes off your tranny I can decode it for ya.
