Could anyone tell me what size the bolts are that hold on the inspection cover for a TH350 transmission? When purchased, mine had no cover, I have since found a cover, but am having trouble finding the correct bolts.
Thanks, Don.

By the way, I have a question related to a TH350, and at risk of thread hijacking, here it is:

I have a pretty good leak on my tranny. I know for sure its the transmission leaking but I cannot get under the car well enough to tell exactly where, but a neighbor said he thought it was the 'main seal' that needed replacing...

does that sound right???

if so, how much can I expect to pay at a reputable shop to fix this leak?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Not necessarily a seal. I have seen leaks at the pan, the port where the speedo cable goes into the case, the cooling line connections and the vacuum port at the modulator valve. However, if it is the rear seal, check the tranny mount on the rear cross member to make sure it is not broken. A broken rear mount will cause the rear seal to fail in 95% of the cases. To test: Take a long pry bar and attempt to move the rear of the tranny from side to side while watching closely for movement. You should not be able to move it from side to side.

How do I fix it if it is leaking from the speedo cable?
