Hello Region 19 members, It is snowing right now at my house but I am starting to think (dream?) about spring time.
How about checking in and letting me know where you all live so we might plan a get-together this spring.

Thanks for responding, Jim:beer:

Great, we have three of us checking in. Now, lets hear from some of you other Region 19 guys.:poke:
We have a couple of months to go for warmer weather, which gives us time to organize our first get-together. I still have a few inches of snow in my yard and a couple of feet in front of my shop where it slid off the roof.

Six and counting! I'm sure there are more of us out there. We will no doubt be able to get together in late March or early April. After getting a few more guys checking in, I'll propose a place based on where everyone lives.
Thanks for checking in, Jim

Good to hear from you John. We should be able to meet somewhere in the middle for guys in your part of the state and not too far for guys in Oregon to drive. I think 150 miles south of you would be about Lacey / Fort Lewis area? That is about 75 miles north from me and +- 150 miles north of the Portland area. The Cabelas store in Lacey is a great place to spend a few hours and is Exit 111 off I-5.
Any thoughts from you guys?

I'll say your close! You're a lucky guy to live that close to a Cabelas store.
Now lets hear from the guys in northern Oregon and other Washington state members to see if it works for them.

I'm staying in Everett at the moment. The Elco, however is in Florida. I would be more than happy to meet some Region 19 members and their rides. Just say when. Thanks.

Thanks 82 Elco.
I think we should try for mid to late next month (March) and at the Cabelas store, Exit 111 off I-5. That is about a hour and a half drive south for you and and about the same for us south Washington guys - - - with no traffic of course!
I'll be sending out a notice to all Region 19 members soon. If the weather forcast a week in advance is bad, we could be flexable if necessary.

Thanks Joe; are you up for a get-together at the Cabelas store in Lacy? It is Exit 111 off of I-5. I'm thinking about a month form now, it will (may) be a little warmer. What do you think?

Nothing yet, but why don't we start the ball rolling for a gathering down in Oregon. I'd sure like to see pictures from cruise-ins from several parts of Region 19.

HOW

jims72

I'm thinking Exit 111 would be a fairly central location between Portland and Seattle for our first meet in southwest Washington.
To finish off the last post, HOW ABOUT getting somethin going with our Oregon members. It would be great to share pictures of our rides at different meeting places. The members of other Regions would surely like to see them as well.

HOW ABOUT you guys in Idaho and Allaska doing the same? I know that a guy in Homer Alaska had 4 or 5 ElCaminos many years ago. I don't know it they are still there or not.

Hey Joel, I just hit you up on an earlier post. Hope you can make our gathering in 3 or 4 weeks at Exit 111 off I-5. Look for an exact date within the next five or six days.
I'm trying to get my 72 to the point I can make the drive without worrying about a problem. It's just comming out of my shop after two long years of rebuilding.

sadly I just found out my elco has a crack in the block so I highly doubt it'll be traveling very far anytime soon :(

Sorry to hear about your block, I hope you can tear into it right away.
Once we set a date for the gathering, maybe you could meet us there anyway just to get aquainted?
