Hi Everyone,
We get a lot of calls for these but apparently there are a couple designs for this part. I have a message in to the manufacturer as to what the differance is, I will post when I hear back.
In the meantime, we just got 1978-79 EC, Mal, MC with gauges and all 86-88 G body's Shift Indicator Assembly. This is the needle, housing, cable and spring made with GM tooling. They're $37.95 each plus shipping.

Just wanted to help bring notice that Rick & Sue Harrington are longtime members of the NECOA who just also happen to be a site vendor...My old notes on the wall here say www.ecparts.net (http://www.ecparts.net) Online frequently and available to answer questions from all without saying that you have to buy something from them to fix your problem. Nuff said...except look for the available new catalogue in another thread here.
Rick...Just wanted to give you a looky here all...Good to have those like yourselves and others like M&M Speed and Custom down here in my corner of the country. Well Eckler's corp is based right here too but please don't hold that against me or the rest of Region 6...lol

Wow, Thanks Randy!
As far as the questions, I am the SLOWEST 2 finger typist in the world! So th best way is to call us if you have a question. I don't know everything for sure but I'll help whenever I can. I think it's one thing that really makes us better than most (especially the big guys) suppliers.

Hi Folks, The only differance is the color of the needle itself. This one has a red needle, the others are all orange. This unit fits 78-88 A and G cars.
I hope this clears it all up!

There's a way to fix the red needle. Use Testor's model paint. It's light, and adds very little weight to the needle. And no, I'm NOT trying to take away from the produce, just a solution for orange color.

I would like to see photos of the led light strip below the tailgate. I have been thinking about doing this. Let me know where you bought them.
