Let me post on whats going on in Matty man`s world,, both of my Camino`s most likely wont be ready for the meet,, my 80 the motor is out and I have all the parts to put her back in,, but some knunkle head wanted a dirty/blasting room so my pole barn looks like a twister went through it,, it is slow progress but getting there,, so if you are thinkin` my ride is ugly or far from done, dont let that stop ya,, it sure aint stoppin` me,, so when I show up it may not be in a G body but I will be there,, So Region 8,, lets not them down in Texas and Florida have all the fun!!!! Hey guys, the Medina County Fair swapmeet is tomorrow ( Sunday Mar. 4th) from 8am-3pm. It cost $5.00. I went to the last one and it was pretty good and it is all inside. You can get a map from the Fairgrounds website. It is just outside of the city of Medina Ohio. It's something to do on a nonfootball Sunday.LOL

I couldn't afford to drive the camino to Dundee, but I still would like to go to Cabela's and meet up with other members. Post up a date and I'll check the calender.

It's been a few years for me and I'd like too, but Canton is too far from Cincinnati. Maybe the spring swap meet in Springfield. A few of us met there several years back, Only Dan and I are left from that group, .....I think.

My 77 is rusting away, but still runs like a champ.

Hello Matty Man & Region 8, after being off-line several months I'm back!! And the 87 El Key is back on the road & running like a champ. Got it out of the shop today after fooling around with it for the past year, I threw in the towel and put it in the shop. It was stalling, running rough, wouldn't idle (I'm on another thread somewhere for that issue), hesitated from a dead stop, just plain ran like crap under 2K RPMs, but ran fine on the open road above 65 MPH. I replaced the EGR val, ECM (for bad codes) and the cat (running hot & glowing red). Finally had the carb rebuilt by Chris' Carb Shop up in Englewood (Dayton) - that man knows his carbs & took it out to Croghan Autocare near Wilmington (met those guys at a cruise-in in Beavercreek back in the fall). The owner's dad has a 64 or 65 "cherry" El Camino, very nice! They found the coil and distributor was bad. Man now she runs like new!! So looking forward to hooking up with you guys soon, I'm in Xenia & work out at Wright-Patt. Later, TD :nanawrench:
