Came across this ad on my local CraigsList

"Pair of swivel bucket seats - need recovered - not sure what they came out of. $50 - OBO or trade."

Ad was a month old but I sent a reply, just heard from the guy. Said everything is there and he thinks seatbelts, foam is good and they just need to be recovered.

Offered him $35 and I'm picking them up tomorrow.

Are these what I hope they are? Keeping in mind I have a '73 and swiveling buckets are the very first thing I thought would be cool in it.

My 1st car was a 74 Cutlass, with swivel buckets. Always liked them.

Great find for $35 , had a set in my 73 cutlass were very comfortable , Ecklers and other companies carry seat covers to reupholster them

if your gonna redo them, you should upgrade the foam to the memory foam, and make them even more comfrtable... lol:poke:

As long as they're not to wide and come with the rails, you can drill new mounting holes if necessary,and it won't matter if your submarine is a nuke, or an old diesel boat. .......:nanawrench:.........:yell:

Swivel buckets were in the 4th generation of G bodies, so 1973-1977 Malibu, Cutlass (where I've seen them before), etc.

Charles, If the seat frames are still on, measure your current bolt hole pattern length to width and ask the seller to measure what he's got. Compare the dimensions, see if they will work,.. - George

Anyboy know what's a bolt in for buckets seats? I love to watch the junk yard for nice seats, but don't know what to look for that doesn't take major modification for my 81 Elky. It has a newly re-upholstered bench seat, so I'm not in a hurry, but if I found something nice, I'd switch.

I just put a set of 94 Firebird bucket seats in my 84. I used my 55/45 bench brackets & Bolted right to the seats & I had to make the bracket holes a little bigger were you bolt it to the floor !! Easy Install ! 80-90's Camaro & firebirds & gbody cars

If you have the full bench seat, You will need to add brackets to the floor by the tranny hump !!

Get a upholtstry shop to cover the seats in thick cloth, the original cover will cost a fortune
