O.K., you gotta file this under "right place, right time" category......well, at least for me, I would.

I receive this email from the Art Director of Neoscape, Inc. right here in the North East. Cambridge, MA to be exact. A short 35 miles away from where I work.

Seems he is developing an El Camino game for the PC and is looking for photos of the interior/dashboard preferably from the back of the seats so its a nice flat on view for making textures for the 3d model.

I start emailing back and forth and sending him my pictures of interior dash's and such. Well most of mine are from one side or another. I don't have a picture of the total flat dash that he needs. I tried getting a shot from the back bed area, but the rear window flashed it over.

He is really looking for late 3rd gen, but might consider others. So, lets see what the ECC / NECOA community can come up with. Look through all your pic's of interiors and send them off to him.

His name is :

My son a me are really into the PS2, PC etc car games. We have a lot of them and are waiting for Gran Turismo 4 to come out. One thing we love and need more of...better engine sounds, more smoke from brake stand burn-outs and be able to swing the cars! Much more important than a dash view.

I have a couple of cool dash shots at home I can share.

I'm kinda a "reborn" "noob" gamer. I'm not to good at it, but I do enjoy it. I play a few multi-player first shooter games. Some Army-Ops, Call of Duty, but mostly Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. I also use a Logitech Force Feed-back steering wheel for driving games.

Anyway, if you can help Josh out, please do so. Also, let him know that your coming from ECC/ NECOA.

Maybe we can be some of his Beta testers...now that would be cool...

C'mon Elky owners! I KNOW you have pic's that would look great in this game.
Just send them to Josh and he will pick which ones he can use.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys -
I must admit, as a kid growing up, I didn't understand what was so great about El Caminos. Now I do - this car is hot!!! Its got a hell of alot of character, and is perfect for a game. I would really appreciate if you had any photos for me, especially interior ones - 70 - 78 would be great.
Flat on views of the dash, doors, steering wheel, etc...
Email me at josh@neoscape.com
Thanks and happy riding...
p.s. I kind of want an el camino now...

I must admit to you all that this game is controversial - and may offend alot of people. Unfortunately the reality that the game portrays is actually real. Please understand this. I would really appreciate your feedback about how the car moves, what features you would like to see in the game, etc...
Thanks,
Josh

What makes this so controversial? Have I missed something in my El Camino loving lifestyle? The only controversy I see comes from those that don't understand that it is based off GM's most popular foundations. Please give us some sort of hint as to it's nature.

Here is what I asked Josh, the Art Director for the game at Neoscape, Inc. (http://www.neoscape.com),
Interesting. How is it portraying the El Camino? I hope in a positive way :-)..

Jay

The basic story line of the game is about "starting off the camino is looking a little ragged, but you soup it up as you go along. The car is the star of the game - I would have it no other way!"

Josh would like input in how the El Camino should sound , handle, look, etc. Please let him know that you came from ECC/NECOA.

Thanks,

Jay

there should be interchangable rims, different hoods, window tinting(for those who are into that sorta stuff), neon lights(they're so cool!).
if the star is gonna be a 70's elky then the exhaust has to sound deep, kinda like the sound of flowmasters. For the exterior i was thinkin you could have your basic colors, and as you progress you could get "custom" paint jobs, like flames.

This game sounds awesome and sign me up for an order. I would say that you have to be able to lower it

It will be a cool game. I've never seen a PC game designed around our favorite vehicle.

But the developer is still in need of more interior pictures. So, send him any and all interior dash layout type pic's. See the address up above. His name is Josh.
