Glad I could help. I was looking at your web site and noticed something in the bed. That front panel towards the front of the bed, the smugglers box top. Is that raised? Is there something underneath.
By the way, nice ride. I just sold my '72 3rd gen and am picking up a '73 4th gen on Monday. So, I'm learning about the 4th gen's.

Yeah underneath is the LPG tank for the gas (80 liter). normal its not there, pretty nicely solved i think.
It was like this when i bought it.
I have to check the numbers on the engine though coz i am almost sure theres a 400 ci in it, not original ofcourse :) According to the VIN theres a 350 ci in it, althought some 76-77 models came with the 400ci engine.
You have any clue where i can identify the engine ? numbers wise or otherwise ?
Regards
Dopa

According to the book I have, '76 was the last year for the 400. As far as location for numbers,,,,,if we go by what the book says. "the 8-cylinder engine codes are stamped on the right hand side of the engine block."
I found my 3rd gen numbers on the block in back of the alternator and down by the fuel pump. Not sure if that helps you or not.
Others on this forum might have a more accurate take on the numbers. Lets see if anybody else gives their opinion.
