After waiting forever (it seems like anyway) the LT1 in my Elky came to life today. With luck I should be bringin it home on Wenesday. Then the rest of the work starts. Clean up wiring, body work, interior.
But it is ALIVE!!! <<< in case you can't tell I'm just a little stoked right now.

Your LT1 sure is a beauty and I dig the custom intake. Long live home fabrication, elbow grease and moderate MacGyverism!
Since I live in the past and just started walking upright, I have a stupid question: Is this engine out of a Camaro or a Corvette? I'm not that familiar with late model engines yet.

It's from a 95 Impala SS. Basically the same as the Camaro one and Corvette. But originally it had Iron heads, swapped them out for Aluminum ones (Camaro).
It only took the guy that made the intake about 20 minutes on the pipe. He welded with a small torch and the seam is probably one 3/16 wide. Once I chrome it to match the Vortec intake elbow I think it will look great.

i believe it was from an impala ss, but added aluminum heads, so its like a camaro engine. thats what his site says anyways.

Looks great. Looking forward to seeing it and meeting you at Lake Forest Fuddruckers when it hits the street!
