"Annual Blessing of the Wheels" Car and Bike show on Revere Beach (near the bandstand area) this Sunday, July 18, 2004 sponsored by Cyclone Car Club of Revere and the Blue Knights of MA. Registration is from 9:30 'till 11:30 for cars and trucks. Cost is $10, all money goes to Children's Hospital in Salem, MA. Trophies to the top 100 cars (no classes). Bike run leaves from Salem Hospital at 11 am and arrives on the Beach around noon. Food vendors and live bands will be on hand. This event usually draws 150 - 200 cars and around 500 bikes. Trophies are for cars and trucks only (not bikes) and judging is done by Cyclone Members and is kept low key. (the 60 or so Cyclone Members are NOT eligible for trophies, so chances are good most cars will get a trophy).

Hi Jay,
This is probably the easiest way to Revere Beach, (it's easier than it sounds)::

Directions to Revere Beach:
From Route 93 North or South:
- Take exit for RT. 95/128 North
- Take exit 43 (Walnut St. / Lynnfield /Saugus).
- Go right at bottom of exit (towards Saugus).
- Bear left at set of lights (About 3 miles).
- AFTER next set of lights, bear right onto Route 1 South

- Follow Route 1 South to exit for Rt. 60 / Malden / Revere
- You will be at a large rotary - take 3nd exit off rotary (Rt. 60 / Squire road)
- Follow to another rotary - take 2nd exit off rotary - (Rt. 60 / Amer. Legion Pkwy.)
- Take a left at the lights (A big liquor store will be on your Right) This is Revere St.
- Follow Revere St. all the way towards the water.

--You will go up a small hill with the Cove lounge on your right, take your first right after the Cove and follow this road past the MDC Police Station. There will be a grassy park on your left, between you and the beach. This is where the Cyclone members will be directing you to park. If you come to any road blocks, tell them your with the car show and they will direct you in. Some of the roads will be blocked along the beach for the show, so tell them your going to the car show.

If your coming from the Expressway/ Rt.1 North, take the exit for Rt. 60 / Malden / Revere, (4th exit after the Tobin Bridge, I think) and take the first right after the exit onto Rt. 60 / Squire Rd. and follow above from there.

The beach is MDC property, so there is no open Alcohol allowed outside,---However, The bars on the beach will be open.
