I'm posting this for Region 2 member "TonyM2sopr".
I know this is a little "Short notice" but I wanted to let you know about the "Annual Blessing of the Wheels" Car and Bike show on Revere Beach (near the bandstand area) this Sunday, July 18, 2004 sponsored by Cyclone Car Club of Revere and the Blue Knights of MA. Registration is from 9:30 'till 11:30 for cars and trucks. Cost is $10, all money goes to Children's Hospital in Salem, MA. Trophies to the top 100 cars (no classes). Bike run leaves from Salem Hospital at 11 am and arrives on the Beach around noon. Food vendors and live bands will be on hand. This event usually draws 150 - 200 cars and around 500 bikes. Trophies are for cars and trucks only (not bikes) and judging is done by Cyclone Members and is kept low key. (the 60 or so Cyclone Members are NOT eligible for trophies, so chances are good most cars will get a trophy).
Again, sorry for the short notice, but with the DNC coming to Boston, the State was slow in issuing the necessary permits for the using the beach and approving vendors this year.
