hi all,
a friend have now a Camaro rear end from 1989 for sale. this axle is with posi and great disc brakes. my quesstion is now: can i modify this axle to fit in my 1979 Camino ?

You're better off finding the right one out of a G-body. I think the F-bodies are too wide. You don't want to have to shorten it, I don't think?

The one out of the Camaro is a 7.5" rearend also. IMO it's not worth the time, effort, and expense to put it in your Elky. 7.5" rearends are weak and if your running a higher hp/torque motor it's not going to last long. Put your money into something that's going to survive some abuse. I'm sure that parts availability is not good in Luxumberg, but you'd be better off buying a new Eaton posi unit and having it shipped over to you at the very least, it would still probably be cheaper and better in the long run.
