I have a 84 El Camino with a AC problem that I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. My AC itself is a newly converted system that is working just fine. My problem is within the air circulation The floor vent seems to be stuck in a half way position. This robs air from the dash vents and defrost. Today a friend and I changed a vacuam valve behind the AC Control panel but that didn't change anything. From our uneducated eyes we could not see any damaged or disconnected vacuam lines. There is this one line running to what looks like a diaphram just above the floor vent. Vacuam is getting to that. I'm wonder if that gizmo is broke? Any suggestions? Looks like the entire system is buried deep inside the dash. My worry is that the dash is so old and cracked that if I had to take out the
dash I'd never get it back together right!
