Has anybody ever replaced the roller bearing w/pin that rides againt the door spring and holds the door open at several different stops? I could use any tips you might have before I install mine. TIA

I've looked at it really good. I think I'd remove the hinge from the door and disassemble it on the bench. The pin appears to be crimped at the top to hold it in place and knurled at the bottom. Grinding off the crimp will allow you to drive the pin and roller out with a hammer and a drift. After installing the new pin, I would spot weld the top of the pin in place. The pin doesn't have to move, only the roller does.
