just wondering if anybodys tried their hand at making some i mean seems pretty simple just a square of brushed aluminum or is there something more difficult im missing cuz i kno alot of yall need em and there now 5 bucks each from opgi if no ones tried anybody kno of a cheaper place to get some? maybe ill try my hand at making some

They DO have to be the right thinckness and have tabs so they snap in unless you're going to glue them there.

Go to the boneyard. Just about all 78-87 G-body cars used the same setup. They're not a dime a dozen, but they're a lot cheaper than $5.00 bucks for one! If you pop a few off and stick them in your pocket, and forget to pay for them on the way out, I won't tell. :lol:

I screen printed for about 12 years and the metal used on trophys is just the right thickness for this part and any screen print shop should have a metal cutter sort off like a paper cutter and they can cut you the pieces in most common colors from scrap gold silver black etc I made a bunch of extra's for my elky before I retired shouldn't cost hardly anything if you sweet talk them jim

ps just a dab of rtv or silicone holds them on nicely jim
