Not sure on the "26a" if it is the stripe color or not. Your correct on the color. Does yours have a vinyl roof? Vinyl roof color AA was white.
For the "L" and the "05005", can you tell me what line these letters and numbers come from?
If the "L" is on the top line, to the left of the word "BODY", it would mean the assembly plant of Van Nuys.

no, it doesnt have a vinyl top, but does have white stripes, although the car has been repainted sometime in its life. it is cowl induction. the "05005" and the "L" are both on the bottom line to the right of the build date of 02B. it is a factory air, tilt, automatic, gauges and tach car.

The 05005 correlates to number in block 24 on build sheet for tracking purposes. The L seems to be a mystery. I have the infamous L on my cowl tag too. I have 2 build sheets for my camino and it has Leeds plant, Kansas City, Missouri on it. I assume the L is for Leeds, but this is just a guess and I could be wrong. The a is for vinyl top....Mark
