I'm holding an east end ElCamino rally on September 18th in conjunction with a cruise-in held that night. It will be held at the Grille 57 drive-in restaurant in Garner, NC. Grille 57 is located on highway 401 south just off highway 70 east. They have a cruise-in the third Saturday night of the month through October. I have seen well over two hundred cars there, but they usually attract about a hundred and fifty. Anyone that is interested can email me for specific directions. I'm going to try and set up a ElCamino "only" area so we can show folks what a great vehicle we all have. I'd like a reply if you think you can attend so I make arrangements with the owners of the restaurant for an area of our own.

I hope some of you guys can make it. I will be getting ready to leave. :(

I have been running an ad in a couple of papers the last ten days. I'm quite surprised at the response. If the folks who I have talked to show up, we should have a good gathering. I'm hoping to meet other NECOA members there next Saturday!......... I'm planning on getting there about 2:00 that afternoon to "rope off" an area for ElCaminos only.

Awww Man.....That's the AutoFair Weekend. :( I'm already commetted to the Corvette Club this year.

Well it rained virtually all day yesterday. A cruise-in that usually attracts a minimum of a hundred and fifty cars, had just eleven show up. Four of them were ElCaminos! razor376 was there with his newly painted, good-looking 87 Elky. Donald Travis from Goldsboro brought his sharp two- tone paint 81. And Jimmie Sauls from Smithfield brought his super straight original 81 Conquista. I have pictures if someone could tell me how to enter them into this forum-----as in what the "h" is a url?

The 3rd Saturday of October is the 16th. Maybe Grill 57 would like to see some Elkys that day.

I definately plan on being there. I just can't to the newspaper ads again this time. I'll contact the people that called me last month and tell those that don't have computers. Maybe mother nature will cooperate this time.....

We were there...with both vettes. There were several vette clubs there. Saturday we were outside of Gate 7. It was a high traffic spot, but if you went in the main gate, you would have missed us. :( I'll let'cha know where we are for the Spring AutoFair. ;)

FWIW...we brought home trophies for BOTH vettes this year! :D
