Does anyone have or know somebody that has had a Edelbrock Intake Manifold with the Permastar finish I was curious how it is holding up so far ? Seems like a better deal than polished since there is no maint. Thanks

It is a shiny finish that Edelbrock has come out with in the last year or two with, that they only offered on certain manifolds at first but are starting to offer on more of thier intakes as of lately. It is kinda like the polished with out the hassles and it it supposed to be stain resistant and just wash clean.

Tonight I painted my new Victor Jr. with polly urithane clear. Has any one tried this????
Cleaned the heck out of it and sprayed ppg poly clear with a little red pearl three coats.

It looks great, I hate when my manifold gets stained, mine is always red from race gas. I hope it holds up!!!!!

I still can!t spell euirethaine.

Run with the PermaStar finish if you havn't yet. The finish is a powder coat and good to 400 degrees F. I have run the finish on wheels for two winters in Ohio with no adheasion loss.

Looks like the metalic ceramic coating that I had put on the Offy manifold in my Hot Rod. Sure makes cleanup much easier than raw or polished.
