Hey I was going to change my windshield wiper the other day but I couldn’t figure how to get the old one off. I think it is the stock wiper blade (It’s the kind where the pin goes into the bottom) and my whole family could not figure it out. I have an 1981 el Camino and I was wonder if anyone knew how to get it off I post a pic if no one know but right now its raining in Texas. So I could use the new ones.
Thanks for the help

Hey da bob, This is probably too late for the rain problem, but if you still have not figured it out yet. Just down from the pin is a little square recessed tab, push it down with a small screw driver etc. it should slip right off. Hope this helps. 81_4fun,

In my car, PO had replaced the original wiper blades with some black plastic aftermarket. Now it always hangs up on the chrome strip at the bottom of the windshield and doesn't return to the stowed position when I shut off the wipers.
I tried adjusting the resting position, with no success. The wipers stow like they should if I help them over the edge of the chrome strip. Any way to get them to stop/stow correctly?
Don't we all wish we had nothing else to worry about? ;-)
