I think the two tone trim and paint look good on the 4th gens. There are a lot of people that have deleted the trim from their Elkys. One big reason to delete it is it is really difficult to find and expensive to get once you do locate it unless you find a Junk yard with some on an Elky intact. There was a place in Ca. that had offered to completely restore mine and make it show quality for around $2,500. This was back around '98 or '99 when I checked. I would have had to remove all mine and send it to them, including the front and rear bumper. At the time I didn't have the cash and didn't think it was that good of a deal. After looking around trying to find some of the pieces later on I relized it was actually not a bad cost at all. You can't find new pieces at all.

So anything you get will be old used pieces and some of it is in good shape and some is in bad shape. The better the condition the higher the cost is.

They look good both ways just one way is factory look and one is not. I kept mine on and think it looks good with even a Non-Factory paint job like mine. But that is only something your going to have to live with over time.

Good luck.
