: El Camino toys, models, promos, etc.....
yenko_charlie 05-20-2003, 09:30 PM Was just wondering if anyone else out there collects miniature sized El Caminos and if anyone would like to see some on the site? I started off many years ago just collecting GM promos, but since then I have amassed a rather large collection of Elkys from the very tiny "Galoob" Micro Machines, up to the large 1/18 scale diecast cars (and everything in between!!). All years 1959-1987 take up 5-6 six foot shelves and that's not counting the ones still in packaging and hung on the wall!! I can start clicking away with the digital camera and sending them in to be posted if there is a demand, if not, contact me off-list. Thanks for the bandwidth!! Charlie
ElkyPete 05-21-2003, 05:36 AM I don't know about everyone else but ... I think that is really cool. I'd like to see your collection. As a matter of fact I'd like to have your collection :D if it is all you say it is. That is just amazing. Impressive list under your sig also.
ElkySS 05-21-2003, 08:05 AM Sounds kool... I'd also like to see a pic of your '59 and the '78 w/Crystalite package
Elcaminonyc 05-21-2003, 10:17 AM Sounds great---and let us know where we can purchase some of the odd ball items!! Pete NYC
87ElCamino 05-21-2003, 10:40 AM I've just started collecting the 1/25 scale dealer promos. I only have a few so far. I have the 79, 80, 81, and 82. Were there any other years that these dealer promos were available?
Gozer 05-21-2003, 11:51 AM I think you'd find many of the folks on the board would be interested in your collection and in whatever you might know about this subset of collectibles (including myself - all I have is a couple of MMs and a vague plan to one day buy a Chevelle kit and rework it into an El Camino).
After all, for most of us the models are the only Elkys the spouse will let us park in the living room (at least when company's coming over) :-D
Gozer 05-21-2003, 11:55 AM Late-breaking thought - if enough folks show interest, perhaps a new Gallery for Elky collectibles and collections (models/toys/signs/old dealerships (just kidding on that one) etc.) might not be a bad idea...

I believe those were the only ones made. To the best of my knowledge you've got 'em all!! Charlie
yenko_charlie 05-24-2003, 10:10 PM I think you'd find many of the folks on the board would be interested in your collection and in whatever you might know about this subset of collectibles (including myself - all I have is a couple of MMs and a vague plan to one day buy a Chevelle kit and rework it into an El Camino).
I've seen or have model kits for 59, 60, 64, 65, 66, 68, 69, 70, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, and 86. Could be more, I don't have them all!! I recently signed up for some "webspace" with the group and will see if I can post some pics there. Thanks to all for the encouragement!! Charlie
Lcamino67 05-25-2003, 12:53 AM The new gallary would be cool. I'm into the Johnny Lightning and muscle machines of the 60's cars. Anything thats El Camino would be a great addition to the site.
71Sprint 05-25-2003, 09:48 AM Hey Guys,
I have a Muscle machine 59 blue Elco still in the box, a red 59 elco from JADA 1/24th scale with the tape still wrapped around the doors, a black 70 elco ss 1/18th scale from ERTL. and a red 71 chevelle from MAITSO 1/18th scale. I'd love to post pics of our diecast models.
