alright what i want to know is if anyone has got a 350 chevy sb such as this.....Jegs 350 Crate (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=146671&prmenbr=361) and put this on it......Edelbrock EFI (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1516&prmenbr=361). I figure it would be better than my original idea....350 carbed (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=4228&prmenbr=361). A. it would have more power right?....B. better gas mileage. C. start better in winter.....(i live in ND,USA). i was wondering if that EFI and that block i picked out would work together....and being as i live in the great state of north dakota i could get the EFI system that says its for "NON-EMMISION" vehicles.....b/c we dont have emmision laws....and that EFI and crate motor i was looking at would be cheaper than the complete carbed one.....unless there was something else i needed. now i originally wanted to go carbed, for simplicity reasons, but a friend of mine talk were talking about engines, and intakes and some how EFI came up....and well thats what i found....
help is always appreciated. :)

Seems cool, but isn't there a ramjet 350 or something that comes from the factory with EFI?

you are right about the ramjet 350 but that is like $1500 more than the setup i am looking at getting....i want lots of horsepower for cheap....and 360hp for $3200 is right up my alley. but thanks anyway...

I put a stock Tuned Port system on my elky. At the time, a big concern was that the cam in my motor was "computer compatible". I had to swap cams. You may be able to get away with the installed cam if the edelbrock system can be adjusted to compensate . Ask them. Good luck EFI is soooo much nicer on a daily driver.
