Hi everyone !
My name is Troy Slaten. I'm new to the site, but old to the ElCamino's ! I've had my 82' for about 10 years now. It's currently running a Motown 427 stroker small block (yes, small block !!) with AFR heads, Edelbrock Air-gap intake, Holley 870 Street Avenger carb, & a 150 hp. shot of NOS nitrous just for kicks. It's backed by a bulletproof TCI 400 turbo & a Dana 60 rear end spinning 342's & a sure grip. I drive it everywhere, including to Ohio Valley Raceway and back home !! The only time it's ever been on a trailer is when I twisted the driveshaft out of it. (oops) My wife & I drove it from our home in Louisville to the Super Chevy show in Indianapolis, where it took 2nd place in the Current Radical El Camino class. (She didn't like the 3" exhaust though) I'm really glad I came across your site so I can check out some other local ElCaminos, & possibly get an all Elco cruise together !! (Wouldn't THAT be cool ???)
