Tough choice. Having owned an LS-1 and an LS-6, I like those. But a ramjet 502 looks and sounds mean, also.

which motor do you think would fit better?? the ram jet or the ls-1 im a big fan of the ls-1's but the 502 is bad.

I like to think a bit more pragmatically. :D For the big heavy 76 I got a good 383 stroker motor with lots of torque for moving all that weight. For the 80 I chose basically the same thing a different set of heads but because I want to get that truck down into the low 11s high tens in the 1/4. Just to make sure I can do that I am seriously considering NOS. For the 72 It had a Big Block and it will once again have a Big Block. The ZZ 502! It is a wonderful place to begin building horse power and torque. I hope to build about 900 to 1000 before the Nitrous Shot adding about 150 to 200 more. It will not see normal street driving ever again. It is for weekends at the track or at shows.

Gotta love these trucks! No matter where you go... there you'll be! :P

if i wanted to drag race, and had more money to spend on an engine i'd get this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33615&item=2416042978
although i'd convert it to fuel injection.
