anyone know where i can find some rust free peices that aint gonna cost me a fortune ,and willthe dors off any other gbodies fit the elcamino

Any Malibu door will fit (2 door coupe, not 4 door). I got a 85 Malibu door for my 87 and it fit fine. had to change the window glass & mirror. All of my power window stuff bolted right in to the manual window door also.
The Monte Carlo & SS doors are definately different, the molding crease down the center is different and will not work on an El Camino. Not sure about Buick/Olds/Pontiac ones, be sure to look closely before buying any of these.

Hmmmm...the last two door Malibu coupe was made in 81 and the last four door g-body Malibu was made in 1983. Typo?

You're right Ernie, my mistake. 78-81 Malibu 2 door are identical to the 78-85 El Camino & can be used on 86-87 if you move the mirrors (drill new holes & patch the old mirror holes) and change the glass.

I think it's time I sent a follow up e-mail to the Goodmark folks about the tooling for the replacement Malibu/El Camino doors and door skins they've been working on since January. They told me they should be out around the end of 2004.

Is Goodmark planning on doing a tailgate skin? these are discontinued by GM & impossible to find.
