Well, I was trying to create a seller's acount on ebay for some '55 Thunderbird parts (one of my Dad's cars), and when I found out how much info they wanted that I didn't have and my dad didn't want to give, so I started looking for places that buy Thunderbird parts. What do you know, there is a site just like this one (well, I guess the layout is the extent of the similarities.) So I joined and posted my message in the "for sale" section, but the more I cruised it, the more I realized how awesome the El Camino Central site was! So many more features, catagories, and MEMBERS! I hope that Vintage Thunderbird Club International (http://www.vintagethunderbirdclub.org/) will grow as large as this site someday, but for now I'm amazed at how much more developed this one is! Maybe I'm just used to it and maybe it's because there is a new post practically every minute, but either way props to Rob on a great site!

PS - Didn't I see in some one's signature on this site that they used to be the director of that organization?

That would be Alan Tast, he and the guys over there were a big help to me with some parts and info on one of my customer's 57 Bird.

And thanks for the props!

Looks decent.. not a lot of vintage T Birds out there compared to Elky's is probably why it's not as fast.. My neighbor has a beautiful '55 Bird, I'll have to ask him him if he's on that site, if not maybe he'll like it.

Chevytalk.com's Elky section is pretty slow too though, but then lots of other areas of Chevytalk are jumpin. Lotsa Elky Chevytalk veterans over here now, this place is so much better! :P

If you want to sell the parts, try yahoo auctions. like ebay but all you have to have is a yahoo email

I was thinking of that, but I wasn't sure how many people were looking for '55 Thunderbird parts on there  It seems like there are a lot less people buying and selling on that site, but if that's all I need to sell something, I check the fees and give it a try!
