: SS inner wheel color?

I just purchased an SS wheel stencil kit from Ausley's and the inner color is "insert gray." Now, my dad and I thought it looked way too light, so we went and compared it to my spare (which is the original rim). The colors match up well (taking into consideration the fading of the paint, ect), but the rims are going on a black car. So our dilemma is now whether or not to go out and buy a satin black for the inner wheel color, or stick with the "insert gray."

Has anyone used the "insert gray" on a black Elkie? We're just cautious about the possible color clashing from the paint Ausley's supplied and the color of the car. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Electrodynamic,

My dad and I have a 70 Elky SS 396 with the SS rims. The color of the elky is triple black (black vinyl roof, black interior, and tuxedo black original paint). The gray inserts in the rims make them stand out better than what a satin black would. It gives it more color than too much black. The silver paint on the rim with the gray inserts with the polished trim ring looks pretty good in my own opinion.

If you want a pic, email me and I will send you one.
