It's comming up this next weekend(24th-26th). I'm going to be there on Sunday. However if the weather doesn't look good,I might have to change it to Saturday afternoon. Who's going and what day?

I'll see what the weather looks like. I HAVE to reseal the driveway on Saturday. I won't have another oppurtunity to do it till the middle of Oct. and by that time,I'll be scrapping leaves off it as I try to reseal it. If it looks like rain on Sunday(which they are saying),I'll bust my butt in the morning and get it done and go down in the afternoon. If the weather looks good for Sunday, then I'll go then instead. I talked to Pete and he's not going to make it.

:? I knew I should have checked here first! I just posted in the Events section. Anyway, I'll be there on the 25th. My Dad and I will be hanging out with Dante who owns of all things Dante's Mopar Parts. Hopefully I can put my car together in time so we can drive the El Camino there (with a much tighter suspension )

Well, I just got back from the E-town swap meet. I think the Spring swap meet was a little better. I didn't buy anything Elky related but I did spend some money. I sighted thirteen El Caminos. Some for sale and some for show. I set up a new album with all of the pictures.

I did run into something I've only seen pictures of. A Monte Mino. Someone took the time to do it right. It has an 80 Monte doghouse and doors. They were asking $2K for it.

I just got back from the swap meet myself. All I saw was a bunch of junk, and a lot of ratty el caminos! I did come across the El Monte SS you took a picture of. It was ugly but different, however it was done decently. I hope the spring Swap Meet is better and hopefully I will have my show El Camino there! -matt

I can't believe you didn't take a picture of the El Camino that had a big block chevy mounted in the bed! LOL! You wanna talk about rediculous! Under the hood was used as a trunk for the spare tire, and there was a big block chevy mounted behind the rear window with a dragster scoop on it! On top of that the car wasn't even nice! What a waste of an El Camino, that should have been put in the "Hall of Shame"!

And it said "built by a registered nurse" on the side of it!??

I missed it. It must have been at the car show on the drag strip. I didn't have time to wander around at the car show much. Most of the pictires I took were Elkys inside the swap meet.

Well I ended up going on Sunday. What a disapointment it was. Loads of junk. From the $1000 mini sport bikes that were everywhere,to the people selling socks,to the people selling wind chimes. I didn't want to go to a farmers flea market

Although I did end up picking up a non-tilt colum for an SS with console with an SS steering wheel for $30(score!),I didn't get what I went there for. The one guy I wanted to buy some stuff from didn't show up...AND what really pissed me off was everyone was packing up way too early. We started with the front first at 10:00 which was a big mistake as there was next to nothing of intrest. We walked the show field, then hit the back. I needed to pick up a piece from Eastwood. By the time we got to them(1:00)they had packed up 1/2 thier stuff including the piece I needed! ***!! It's only 1:00!! By the time we got ready to leave(2:30),a lot(alright most) of the venders were packing up. What is up with that??? Also did anyone get attacked by the asian folks giving backrubs on the airport side? These people all came out of there space and were grabbing us..."you need backrub...you need backrub!!". My wife was beating them off with her purse...literally.

Anyway,I guess we're going to hit Carlisle this week. Which day is best to go? I'm thinking of hitting it on Thursday. Will a lot of venders be there yet?

They harrassed me too. One Asian guy grabbed me by the arm, but he let go real fast when I told him the only way I'd let them give me a massage was if his wife did it and she had to be naked.

I always start at the back (airport side) of the track and work towards the front. I've found that the best selection is in the back.
