...I have a couple of questions. What about spray in bed liners? My car's bed isn't perfect, and I wouldn't know where to find another bed in excellent condition. Does anyone have one of these bed liners? What kind, and how is the coverage?
Next question - the chrome trim around the bed. Mine has a few dings - where in the world would I find "original" ones that aren't in the same condition? I can get reproduction pieces, but aren't they that cheapy plastic coated stuff?
I am trying to get everything right with my car, as is everyone else. Im beginning to find out that my 40 year old (car) is very high maintainance - lol!

My '70 has a sprayed in liner, i think it loosk gerat and it works fantastic. protects teh metal of ur bed from rusting fromt hose pesky rain waters that liek to hide in there. I don't knwo what type mine is, but i know rhyno liner is good. I'm not exactly sure where you woudl have to go to get it done, but im sure alittle internet research or phone book browsing would reveal answers. maybe a local body shop knows a place or does it? and as for your bed trim, I'm pretty sure you can buy metal pieces, "original" pieces youd probably have to check a junker or find someone whos parting out a car of your same generation.

There are places that restore original mouldings. They can remove dings, straighten, polish, or chrome the parts. They can come out better than new. That's what done on parts that are not reproduced. May want to look into that option.

Thank you - I will check into that. Like I said before, I am taking my car (showing in the truck category) to its first show this Saturday - I am very excited! I will be posting pics when I get home.
Hubby has a 66 El Camino he is going to refurbish. He is looking for a tailgate and a hood - anyone have any suggestions where to begin looking? I really don't have time to surf the web - we have a business that takes four full days a week, and a lot of kids hanging around here (23, 22, 21, 20. 16, 9 and 1 - plus girlfriends, boyfriends, and the first grandbaby will be arriving in January!)

OPGI has your mouldings (full kit $179 includes fasteners) yes they are probably reproduction but i doubt that they're plastic. I've bought several items from them and have no complaints about the quality of any of it. They happen to be one of our sponsors. You can check out National Parts Depot also, they may have them. Hope this helps.
