Hi. I'm looking to part with my 1968 el camino. I've had it for 7 years and have realized that I'll never put it together, so I thought one of you could give the home it deserves. I have almost everything except the engine and windshield. It has an SS hood. there is rust at the bottom of the right front fender and a hole behind each rear wheel well about 1 1/2" diameter. I only want $600 for the whole thing. I may take a trade if someone has a good 350 engine (I need one for my '83 Blazer). Any questions, you can email me at mkgearhead@msn.com or call my cell phone at 303-250-6956. The car is in northeast Colorado. If you are within a couple hundred miles, I have a car dolly, so i can possibly deliver it for gas money. It has a clear Colorado title.

What shape is the driver's side body/interior in?? I live in Denver and need the interior panels(door, kick, sail, basically the whole show), the driver's side fender and door. Shoot me a reply to this post and I'll get my phone # to you....thanks!

What does the hood look like? Could I fit a 177 supercharger under it?

A SS hood from 68-69 is simply the 2 small bulges side by side toward the top. They won't provide anymore clearence than a stock hood for supercharger application. See the body work section in my link below for an example.

Colorado has been berry berry good to me.....but I had to go all the way to TEXAS for my '68! Hard to find cheap '68 steel around here, but I guess it's getting that way everywhere... I'm busy now fixing the "rust free" body. Coolest thing about this car...the key still goes into the dash, not the column!! :)

Well, I sold the El Camino yesterday to moneypit 68. He bought it for parts, so he'll probably be selling what he doesn't need pretty soon. Keep checking back. Thanks for all the response. Mark
