Not show worthy but a bit more presentable than the Diablo. Mark this day off on your calenders to get some Elky support for the area.

No, it's sponsored by 16th Services Hurlburt Field (16th Special Operations Wing). Actually it's called "Commando Cruise-In."

I was hoping they would have prizes for most club involvement but I missed out on the meetings to give input on the show, out of town. :( Would of been a good meeting place for NECOA Region 6, Panhandle members.

good job Diablo, to post about this event. It can STILL be a good place for Region 6 panhandle members to get together.

I doubt I can make it this time, especially if Jeanne does hit us....but you guys over there try to see if you can get 2 or 3 or more together, and take some pics of the cars so we can see. This can serve as a nice ice-breaker for getting more members, as well as for future gatherings.

If you want to email me ( mrmjts1@msn.com ) , I can send you the electronic version (Word document) of the nice color flyer's I took to the Old Town event. Everyone seemed to like them, and it helps give them information on ECC/NECOA that they cant always remember on the spot, but can refer to the flyer later...

its been my recent experience that many folks either have - or had - Elky's but do not always know that someone like NECOA is out there. They tend to feel isolated and wonder if they are like the only one that likes Elky's.......so this flyer and information is usually met with a lot of enthusiasm.

I would love to bring the Diablo there too but it's more of a "Junkiablo" at the moment. I'm sure I could get it more than presentable by show time if I didn't have so much rebuilding to do on the house. The storm just made me take 1 step forward and 25 steps back.

Send those fliers on and I'll post them on the truck at the show. 8) Have a few members interested so far so maybe we can get a little bit of a showing. I "had" a vinyl plotter and could of made a nice banner for NECOA as well but the plotter died and my money I had saved to replace/repair it has now become my insurance deductable.

7 days til the show!! I found out there will be some nice door prizes as well. Wish I wasn't ineligible for the door prizes (hopefully won't be, still unsure about that), some VERY nice stuff was donated.

Hope a few Elkies show. There was actually a good showing of Elkies earlier this year at another local show. I was quite surprised to see about 4 Elkies there and I think that was without the others communicating with each other.

This show won't have a sawp meet unfortunetly. Just a car show. Actually has $$$ for cars that place as well as HUGE amount of very cool door prizes. I just went and got the other Elky so now it's on to replace the pinion seal that's been leaking and do a MAJOR detailing. It might actually be somewhat show worthy even if it doesn't place.

I like shows anyway just to finally be around other "car people".

Hey Joe. There's a link to a pic 2 or 3 posts up. I might drive it later this week. I have a few more things to do to it. It'll be there Saturday for sure. Color is white, year is '87.

You can swing by the shop one day if you like. I can probably drive it Thursday if it's not raining.

I'll try and swing by Thursday after lunch. I plan on being at the Soundside Saturday, I got a guy I work with who be there is his Harley. I'll drop by and see your dad's Elky. Has anyone else from this region plan on passing by? If so maybe we can park our Elkies together. Sorry to hear about the damage to your place, do you need any help? Let me know if you do. Well, show was a decent turnout. 4 Elkies and there was about 100 cars there. Nice little show.
