I finally have found a 4th Generation Elky. Yes I know another El Camino, I think that I have a disease. But now it is a '77. Someday I might have one from every year. :) Well anyways if any of you have 4th gen parts please let me know. Some of the parts I will need: crack free dash, possibly a passenger side fender, pieces that go around the front bumper, and maybe a steering column.
Thanks
Laura

Congrats Laura on another Elky! I'm kinda new to the 4th gens, but some, if not all parts are tough to come by. Sometimes the hunt is half of the fun.
Best of luck with the new Elky. Do you have a picture album on ECC with all of your El Camino's???

Thanks I know that 4th gen parts are the hardest to find but oh well as you said it is fun. I have a album but it only has my 79 and my 85 in it. It is on page 12 of the 5th Generation.

Congrats on the New Elky. I also believe I have that disease. I just do not see myself wanting to drive anything other than an Elky/caballero/sprint. Not to mention I want to rebuild every poor abused one I see. Later-Matt

Most of them are parked side by side in the back lawn of my parents house and three of them are in the garage. The back lawn looks rather interesting. If I remember I'll take a pic for you. :)

Well I most definetly have the disease also. I currently have 6 El Caminos myself granted only 4 possibly 5 run I am not sure about the one cause I haven't had time to really try to get it running. But the one doesn't have a motor or a tranny so oh well that one may get something someday.

Why should I take it easy at least they won't get crushed because I give them alot of TLC and there is always room for one more. Until my parents say that they have no more room.

Your parents, their neighbors, and possibly the local government. In any case, enjoy your crucks. :)

Ya working on it. Someday maybe I will have one from every generation or maybe even every year. :) But I am going to part two of them out because they are beyond repair. :-( When I have the heart to do it I have no idea. But then there is room for more. Just Kidding!! And I have no neighbors and the local government doesn't care because you can't see them from the road and it is out in the middle of no where. The perfect place.
elcamino_gal, congradulations on the new member to your elcky fleet. I was just wondering which elcky's you were planning on parting out. I'm loking for some parts for my 83' and I also live in Wisconsin, so chances are picking them up wouldn't be any problem, I can and will even pull them my self if you'd like. If you want pm which ones your parting and where you live, maybe we can work something out.
