Now that could have been @ 2500 RPM. I can't say for sure.

115 is more than i expected 8O still not much though, just didnt think it had ANY power.

Sorry ElkyPete, but I don't believe that table. What is the source for those ratings? It's not stated. I don't put a lot of trust in facts and figures posted on the web if the source of the information isn't documented. My source is the 1983 Chevrolet Light Duty Truck Data Book dated September 1982 which states the following:

I also have a "Preliminary" version of the same book dated June 1982 which shows the same HP rating for the LG3 229. If anyone has a set of documented ratings more recent than September 1982 let's see it.
