Depends which way you need to go Positive or Negative with the camber and it will cause your tires to wear if it is not within specs. To change you will either add or remove shims to the upper control arms this is achived by causing the top of the tire to lean in toward the engine (negative) or lean out (positive) This will also change your Toe-in which will also cause tire wear. So I recomend only doing this if it is going to only be for racing not street use. Mostly you only need to do this for round track racing and not needed for drag racing, the stock specs. are best for this so you can keep driving it on the street. If you adjust these angles it can cause drivability problems for street use if your not carefull.

Tuning alignment is not for amatuers which is why I don't provide instructionals on how to for track use. Once you get the rest of the car set up for some quick lap times the alignment will come to you. Usually when someone asks how to adjust camber they really shouldn't be trying to do it, it's not at all difficult to do-if you know what you are doing. The guy you bought your car from is correct, there is tremendous time to be had by nailing the alignment. Be patient and learn to drive it the way it set up now, that way you better know what needs to be done to go faster.
