Well, I'm off again in the MIGHTY ford expedition (u-haul transporter in tow) to pick up my '68 parts elky today. A nice saturday drive, about 160 miles round trip. I'm not overly loyal to either the blue oval OR the bowtie, I'm a ford truck/chevy car kind of guy, but I like american steel and NOTHING looks as good to me as a clean '60s chevrolet. After I find a suitcase full of money somewhere, I'd like to buy a '68 camaro to play with,but for now I'm VERY happy with my rusty, leaky, smelly '68 El Camino.(don't tell the wife, she thinks I'm suffering from some kind of mental disorder as it is!) Had a project '68 about 15 years ago, owned it for a year or so, never got to it, and my pops sold it for me "as-was" while I was off sowing wild oats in Cali. Older, wiser(??), having a better job and more committed this time, I plan to whip up at least a dependable driver from this "rust free" texas elky. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures (still got to figure out the whole web site hosting thing) I'll get some up. Thanks for listening and carry on! 8)

LMAO I too like all other vehicles, ford, dodge, toyota, porche. We just like to bust on people. As far as the mental thing, lol, in 79 I fell out of the back of about a 68 el camino while my brother was driving on the bypass of our little town. Don't know how the hell it happened, but I almost died! They were makin my casket. I was 17. It's all blocked out from my memory, since it was so bad. Kinda glad I don't remember. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and only remember the last day. How's THAT for mental?! LMAO
And now I own an 80. Think it's in my blood? :cool:

8) I have 4 Chevy's 2002 Malibu, 89 Astro, 85 Elcamino, and a S-10 Blazer and 4 Fords, 82-F100, 48-F1, 52-F1, and a 53-F1. I am a fan of SB Chevy engines. Although it apears I have no favorites I like newer Chevy's and Older Fords. :cool:

I have no brand alleigance... I even like imports, except when they are riced to hell. 8O My '93 Nissan 4x4 is the best truck I've ever owned, pretty dang reliable. :P /shrug

I don't have any pics they are works in progress, after I finish my Elki I plan to build a 23 T-Bucket, then the 52 Ford. All of my trucks are in storage.

All of my Fords get Chevy engines and trannys if thats any comfort! I am not a purist. Besides being an ElCamino enthusiest I am also a hotrodder! 8)
