Well I got my new cam and intake on Friday afternoon and just finished getting them installed today. Intake is a victor junior and the cam is a hydrualic roller from Bullet cams. Specs 252/258@.050 and .540/.540 lift. Engine idles at 800 or 850 rpm, and I have enough vacuum to run power brakes but they aren't as good as they should be. Doesn't idle how I thought it would, but is still noticable. Let me say its pretty impressive to be able to look into the plenum of the intake and see the cylinder head ports!

Haven't had time to get into it much but from what little driving I have done it revs to 6000 alot faster than the old setup and it pulls really good up there too. Should be quicker but we'll see.

The old setup is in my sig. Haven't really driven it much to see if I'm going to like the new setup but I think I will.

Anybody got any ideas what it will run? I'm thinking it has the potential for high elevens.

I'd like to see some 0-60 numbers. I bet low 7's maybe high 6's. Can you post that # soon?

I'd love to have one of those G-Force Pros (or whatever they're called) that suction cups its self on your window, plugs in your lighter, and tells you everything about your performance. How else would you get an "accurate" 0-60 number though?

I'll get out my gtech pro this weekend and see what it does. I don't have any numbers with the old stuff so I can't make any comparisons. The numbers will be slow because I don't have any traction off the line but I'll do my best. :-D

G-Tech Pro. I was close! Hey, if you go down a hill or make up a better number who would know!

Oh, man. I love those G-Techs. A friend has one but I've never had the $$ to get one that I can use. I get My 0-60 using a stop watch. That's accurate within a tenth.

Got some numbers with the g-tech this evening.

old cam and intake

12.92 @112
0-60 ?

New cam and intake

14.14 @ 110
0-60 5.68

The numbers for the old stuff were taken with the stock converter and at about 400 feet of elevation. The stock converter made it easier to control traction, somewhat.

The new numbers were taken with a 3000 stall and at 2400 feet of elevation. I had to leave the line very soft and stay out of it until aobut 30 to keep from breaking the tires loose. That said, I don't think that there is much of a difference between the old and the new.

Am i looking at it wrong or did the numbers get worst.
Maybe you've got too much power for your setup, which is bad.

Maybe a bigger rear? Wider [taller] tires?
I wish the results had been better. :o
