I think Polterguist has the information about swapping to a 5.7L on his website, www.poltergeist.us (http://www.poltergeist.us/). If the info isn't there, do a search in the forums. I know he wrote it somewhere :lookround:

TPI is different then the LT1 I installed in my El. The support for it is the same: tank, pumps, lines etc.

TPI has been done by a few others here, hopefully they'll chime in.

I converted mine November 03 and have been enjoying it since then. Conversion parts came from e-bay for approx 300. I used a painless harness for the wiring even though a donor may be less expensive I didn't want to deal with it. Now a question for the others, is there a baffled tank available for the 5th gens?

The fuel tank from a 1987 fuel injected Elky is baffled. I used this tank on my 1977 Elky that has a 5.7 vin 7 engine with only a few mods. The fuel pump lives in this tank.

Jerry, how much mods were involved in using the 87 tank. I guess you could say I'm wondering about neck alignment and straps used. The 77 tank held 26 gals compared to the 87 with 22 gals. I would have perfered a larger tank, not smaller. I need a new tank and I'm going TPI. Trying to cheaply kill two birds with one stone.

BTW, I took a look at you web site, Your Camino is sweet. You need to do a "How To" on your gauge installation, you did a great job.
