lostagain004 10-17-2004, 10:57 PM Has any one put suicide doors on an el? I have never seen it done. I was thinking about doing it to my 81 SS. If anyone can help with suggestions or possibilities it be really helpfull because i am new to the el camino car i have only had mine for maybe a week. So anyone if you can help please do. Anyway, I've though of doing it before but then I thought it might be too weird. You'd probably have to either shave the door handles or mount one near the mirror on the front part of the door (weird). Then you would need to do something with the hole in the upper door panel where the lock used to pop through. It wouldn't be too hard just to re cover over that I suppose. Lots of work involved.
