Hey guys, I have an '85 Conquista and it's been somewhat modified as far as the engine (350) goes and I have a problem that is just irritating. The tach is for the V6 but I get about 5200 rpm before it shifts to second and am looking for something more accurate but want to use the dash guage or at least the hole in the dash where the guage is. Is there anyone that can help?

Use a tach from an 84-88 Monte Carlo SS. Try to ensure you get the tach "filter" wire with the tach. It will exactly fit your gauge cluster opening where the optional clock fits.

Welcome to ECC!
Use a tach from an 84-88 Monte Carlo SS.
For an 85 Conquista the 83-85 MCSS tachometer would be best. The 86-88 MCSS tachometer would work, but the font and colors wouldn't match your existing speedo and gauges.
