Im beginning to look around at 350's for my 1979 elky, but im wondering that since my budget is tight (highschool), if i can use my intake manifold and carb from my 305 just to get it home? Will the 350 run with 305 carb and intake on it?

Yes, the intake is the same whether on a 305 or 350.
The carb is the same if its the stock 4 barrel or Quadrajet, you will have to adjust mixture, basically readjust it for it to run right on the 350.
The 305 and 350 are the same except for the cylinder bore, so it will work fine, even the carb was the same from the factory.
but if you want to reduce weight at some point I'd go to an rpm performer or an airgap intake. I personally love my Holley StreetAvenger 670cfm carb, there are always more options to upgrade but you will want a good set of heads for your 350 an intake can't make up for small valves.
Hope this helps

You didn't say what year/type vehicle the 350 is coming out of...but no not all the carbs are the same depending on what year we're talking about, you have to consider pollution control devices. You may have problems getting everything to hook up right and then run. If the 350 is in a car, and you have to buy the whole car just for the motor, consider just having it towed home...it will save you a lot of headaches. Realistically, depending on what the 350 is, you might want to consider finding one out of a truck that is a 4 bolt main.
