My son and I prepared a car for him to drive in the 4th of July "100 Car Demolition Derby" at Seekonk Speedway, a local circle track. The car is a 1979 Dodge St. Regis ex-cop-car. It has a 360 4bbl and it's big...real big. This will be my sons fifth demo. (By his age I already had ten demos under my belt.) We decided to paint our car a bit differently this year and I guess we got carried away. I thought you might get a chuckle checking out our Cow Car.

Finally got the pictures developed from the demolition derby. Here is the before picture as we were getting ready to load it on the trailer. Right after this picture was taken, as my son was driving it to the trailer, he decided to do a burn out in front of the house. Immediatly after the burnout the engine developed a terrible rod knock.

Here are some of the "after" pictures. The car was the fifth car left running. Unfortunatly they only pay the last car running. My son was doing really good....until the rod knock took it's toll and the engine grenaded :bomb: and then seized up. Nice big hole in the block.

We took out the fuel tank, batteries, the horns and tail and headed home. The search is on for a new cow car.
