how much are the ls1 motors and trans going for? im thinking about a ls1 swap or a tpi swap for my wifes elky im getting her.

I see them on ebay for 3000 and up. Make sure you wiring harness with the motor.

No problem. Have you looked into the LS1 swap? The LS1 is not a straight drop in motor. You're going to have to make custom motor mounts and the oil pan is going to be modified to clear the crossmember. You might want to go to LS1tech.com and do some searches in the Hybrid section.

pagsjohn, it is more involved than a lt1 but its worth it. were working on a 81 right now. ill try to post some pics in the moring. a good 98 Z28 70k mile drivetrain can be had for about $2800 01-02 bring around $4000-$5500 depending on mileage.
